Baby Bump

The baby bump is appearing. :) We find out (hopefully) if it is a boy or a girl this Thursday! I am VERY excited!

Key West

So I know Spring Break was a few weeks ago, but just like everything in life right now...I get to it eventually. I'm trying to catch up from 3 months of feeling like crap, and I'm still tired and there are days that I'm still a little sick. Looking at Key West pictures makes me smile. Here are a few:

The islands are so beautiful! The weather was perfect!

Standing at the Southernmost Point on the Continental US with Laura and Jamey.

We ate lunch at one of Laura and Jamey's favorite spots. We had outdoor seating in a cozy little courtyard.

And then I got pooped on...if you look closely, you can see the culprit.

We got to spend the day on the ocean in a friend of the Graham family's boat...this is just one of the many beautiful sunsets we got to see.

Last night of vacation...we stayed in Islamorada. My friend Jenny drove down from Miami and had dinner with us. I had Stone Crab for the first time....LOVE IT. It was totally worth "saving up my seafood allowance" for the last week. It was so windy that it was actually cold. I thought we were all going to freeze to death in our summer clothes. That is the kind of difference in weather that two hours north makes.

We took a different route home because David wanted to show me the Everglades. We took a break from driving to take an airboat tour. I'm so glad we did! You really can't get a good idea of what the everglades are like by looking out a car window. It looks so different when you look out on the land as opposed to being right on it. We saw a ton of gators and lots of beautiful birds. This was a very fun trip!

It's been a while...

It's been a while since my last post. We just finished Spring Break! It went way too fast! We got the chance to go with some friends to Key West and Islamorada. It was gorgeous and the weather was so nice! I will put some pictures up soon and tell about our adventures.

I'm back in the real world now though. Back to work, back to the businesses, back home. It was a nice break, but it some ways I'm always grateful to get back into the swing of things. For once, I actually got a lot of rest on this break. I think Baby Ryan had something to do with that. If we got in the car for more than a five minute drive, I was out cold. If I wasn't sleeping, my wonderful husband fixed a little bed in the back seat of the truck and put in a DVD for me. I ran out of DVD's on the way home. Thank goodness for Flying J...they had some good ones for cheap. :)

Speaking of Baby Ryan...I think I'm out of the Morning Sickness woods....finally. Still have to be careful what I eat, how much I eat and that I eat on time, but I'm feeling MUCH better. Now I'm just hungry all day...I can hardly finish eating something before I'm thinking about what I can eat next. I have heard about this stage from those that have gone before, but I didn't really expect to feel this hungry....like tummy growling hungry. I thought I would just be craving foods, but no...I'm close to ravenous at times. We have two and half more weeks before we go for THE ultrasound. Hopefully Baby Ryan will cooperate and we will know if they are a boy or a girl. Then we are really going to have to find a name. We haven't really even talked about names. I feel like I have all the time in the world to prepare and no time at all...it's really kind of weird.

I guess that is all for now...pictures of the Keys next post. :)

Bones is learning bad habits

Since Mom loves the Bones commentary...I found this video of David teaching our "Youngest Child" to misbehave. Heaven knows what he'll teach our human child! :)

Letting the Cat out of the bag

Well...it's official...we have let the cat out of the bag and announced....

We're having our first baby!

David and I are very excited to begin growing our little family! I was twelve weeks along last Friday. I've got a long way to go, but hopefully we'll have lots of fun along the way!

Behind on blogging....

To say I'm behind on blogging would be quite an understatement. David and I enjoyed a long break from work for Christmas and New Year's. We had many plans to work on catching up all sorts of things, but like all the best laid plans....we only got half of the stuff done we wanted to do. Here are a few fun pictures of some of our Christmas adventures.

We built the puppies a HUMUNGOUS doghouse. We filled it with cedar chips, so now they smell like hamsters. :)
We went to see one of our ALL-Time favorite Christmas movies...Christmas Vacation at the beautiful Alabama Theatre. It was so fun and really got us in the Christmas Spirit for our, "Fun, Old Family Christmas". It is really cool because before the movies begin, the organ comes up from the stage floor and the guy announces the movie and then plays as they lower him back down.

We took Bonnie, Autumn, Shelby and Hayden to Zoolight Safari. I think it was 2 below out there that night. You can't really tell, but this picture was taken in the "snow". It was a soapy, fake snow...that is what Shelby is reaching for. Unfortunately, they put most of the animals away, so we are planning a trip back to the zoo for warmer weather.

After the Christmas festivities were over, we were supposed to drive out to Oklahoma to see my family but the Blizzard of 2009 prevented that. We decided to take a short trip anyway. We went to Nashville, TN to explore. More on that adventure next blog.
